A multifaceted artist and committed human rights activist, singer Selma Uamusse takes over as president of Helpo, succeeding António Perez Metelo.
“It is with great honor and a sense of responsibility that I embrace the presidency of Helpo. I am ready, count on me!” says Selma Uamusse in the video testimony she recorded to announce her new role.
It is with great happiness and the certainty that we have made the best decision that we received Selma Uamusse’s positive response to the invitation to lead Helpo.
Born in Maputo, from where she left as a child to live in Portugal, Selma Uamusse has an internationally recognized artistic career, but she is above all a woman of causes, who has given her voice and committed herself to different actions and movements for the defense of human rights, and who has been collaborating and associating herself with Helpo’s projects and campaigns for many years.
Kanimambo, Selma.
We are together!
